
The calm of the morning and an empty cup of coffee brought me to this scene where I felt invited to sit but didn't as my creative eye wished to continue capturing the morning light over the waters of this little lake at Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta. It was my way of "filling up" before energetic family activities and long drives ahead. The contrast of these still chairs and the motion that continued from then on reminded me that God is present in all my day and all my circumstances and especially as I try to empty myself; even if I don't manage to be still for very long. Perhaps capturing it with my lens is enough till I can fill my cup again another day. May your cup be filled in some special way also. Jane

On Canada Day I sang:"God Keep our land, Glorious and Free"... and realized if it wasn't for this freedom that my parents sought coming out of former Czechoslovakia as refugees I would not be here with thankfulness the way I am now. Thank you Canada for giving us a home where I learned to love life, nature, my family and my country.
Thank you St. Joseph, the patron Saint of Canada, for your intercessions and all our beloved in our Heavenly Father's care. Happy Canada Day! Jane
