The beauty of snow is not only its whiteness and luminous reflection of light but also that it points out the forms of the landscape in a new way. I took this on in an oil painting on location at Cypress Mountain by stating the dark and light structures I felt in the landscape. The bit of colour at the end was just a little note to remind me of the bright glimmer reflected by the sun as it came upon the mountain at various moments. I hope you enjoy these videos of the Abstract I took from the mountain.
