TREES OF HOPE
At Fairmont Chateau Whistler Mountain Gallery artists each painted a 24″ x 36″ canvas for the annual ‘Trees of Hope’ event – which will be available for sale online to raise funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. The online auction will be posted later in November.
Past Event – Whistler Wine Walk Art Demo Oct. 4th
Mountain Galleries is part of the Whistler Wine Walk Tour and each event a different artist paints in the gallery. I was there on Oct. 4th and painted two paintings on location, took them home to finish and now they are available through Mountain Galleries. They were inspired by my walk at Lost Lake that day and all the vibrant energy from the visitors.

HARMONY FESTIVAL – ART SPEAK – Ferry Building Gallery – Ambleside, West Vancouver. FREE DEMO AND INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP: “Movements in Colour: Abstracting Ambleside” AUG. 11TH, 2024 Sunday 12 – 1:30pm
Using acrylics and various media Jane will share how she expresses the landscape, first with quick gestures of line using pen and pencils, simplifying to linear expression and shapes. She will invite participants in a collaborative sketch and to add a brush stroke to canvas if they wish.
Look for the events/demo tent at the Harmony Festival at Ambleside Beach by the Ferry Building. Free Event.

EXPRESSIVE SKETCHING WORKSHOP –JUNE 17th, 2023 – Saturday 1:00-3:30pm – Banff, Alberta
Lyrical Painter, Jane Appleby at the Whyte Museum in Banff lead a fun art workshop during the summer exhibition “For the Birds” at the museum. She discussed art in the exhibit for inspiration, as well as led participants in exercises with pens, pencils, conte and pastels on paper to explore personal expression.

In the lobby of Chateau Whistler in Upper Village …I will be painting. Please come out and say hello, do a gesture sketch and enjoy watching me paint. An easel will be set up in the Lobby of the Fairmont – Chateau Whistler – look for it and also visit Mountain Galleries on the lower level to see some more paintings and artworks.
