Sometimes the best way to end a painting is to be called away and return to find that it needs nothing more.
Just like Christmas time when you realize the only present you need is to be present with your loved ones, returning to the essential of our human nature that involves being with one another to make life worth living.
Relationships do take work, no question; so do paintings. Sometimes we overwork them, overthink them, overindulge them. How to keep things simple?
Perhaps just “Be Present”… wherever you are, at the canvas, at your home … in your heart – there already is abundance there – look for it!
